From Storytelling To Seamless Experiences
Before stepping into product design, I built a strong foundation in narrative structure and communication through my academic journey. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Literature in English and a Master’s degree in Classical Literature, where I explored the power of storytelling across cultures and time periods. My deep understanding of narratives, audience engagement, and human behavior naturally led me to product design, where stories aren’t just told but experienced. To solidify my transition into design, I earned a Google UX Design Professional Certificate and completed a Product Design course at Future Academy Africa. These programs helped me refine my skills in user research, interaction design, and accessibility, equipping me to create intuitive and impactful digital experiences.
Embracing the Design Mindset
Over the past two years, I’ve learned that design is more than just aesthetics, it’s about understanding people. Through user research, accessibility principles, and iterative design, I ensure that every decision I make is rooted in real user needs. At the same time, I’ve unlearned the idea that perfection comes first. Instead, I focus on rapid prototyping, testing, and refining to create products that truly resonate.
Why Product Design?
Product design allows me to bridge creativity and functionality, ensuring that every interaction feels intuitive, engaging, and accessible. Whether it’s a mobile app, web platform, or an immersive AR/VR experience, I thrive on simplifying complexity and designing seamless digital experiences. My background in literature and classical studies gives me a unique perspective in design, one that values storytelling, critical thinking, and human-centered experiences. Combined with my UX certifications and hands-on training, I bring a well-rounded approach to crafting user-friendly products.
My Design Impact In The Last Two Years
Over the past two years, I’ve designed for e-commerce, fintech, foodtech, SDaaS and edtech, crafting seamless user experiences that balance aesthetics with functionality. I specialize in design systems, rapid prototyping, and user-centered design, ensuring that every product I work on is both visually compelling and highly usable. I’ve worked with startups and established brands, taking ideas from concept to execution. My approach is data-driven yet creative, focusing on user needs while aligning with business goals.
I’m excited to collaborate with designers, developers, and product teams to craft intuitive, user-centered solutions that make a difference.
